hi.. jim dropzone runs a small up and coming stage rental co'... we established it about 2 years ago..
we run 2 dodgey's on the firm.. a dodge 100, which is the towing vehicle for the main stage [30 foot arch design] and the trailer for this is a drawbar affair [ex military]
we also run a dodge 50.. an ex command support vehicle from avon and sommerset fire service..
in our job, we usually promote the charity gafsip.org who are based in bristol, and who send out disused fire fighting equipment to the gambia... please check out this site its well worth a read..
just now its winter time and we're parked up doing other stuff to keep a wage coming in... we do a lot of fabrication and working on museum vehicles [welding and repairs]
the dodge 100 that we run, is ex shrewsbury emergency tender and was saxon built... we converted this to a site office,brew room, tool carrier.. and it is fitted with a v8 perkins on an auto box..we've owned this one for about 10 years.. the dodge 50 we've had for about 4 years..
we find the dodge series a very good all round vehicle, and especially fond of the ex fire engines due to the high spec maintainence these vehicles have been used to..
years ago.. 1971. i had a karrier.. this was a conveted mobile chip waggon.. which i converted to living vehicle.. it was a petrol [ and the engine i think, was the same as a humber hawk] but, correct me if i'm wrong on this...
