Saved since 1980.Baptised in the Jordon River late one hot August night, with only the stars to give light. Sorry, there's my songwriting coming out. I think in rhymes. My DH and I were baptised in Jesus Name. I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost on Oct 26, exactly two months later with the evidence of speaking in tongues. God spoke to me in an audible voice on that day. It was the most amazing experience. I can take you to the place and tell you the date and time it happened. Well, I could have but Hurricane Katrina took the room down, along with my home.
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died and rose again and only in his name, are we saved. I am still studying and learning. I list my birthday as 1980 because I feel that is the year I started really living. Until then I was dead in my sins. I am actually older than dirt, in my sixties and holding on.

I enjoy the Gaither videos. I believe we can listen to Christian music and enjoy it, even though we may not always agree with every word. Most of them are based on scriptures we all believe such as the death of Jesus on the cross, and praise and worship. "There's Just Something About That Name" and "He Looked beyond my Faults" are two of my favorite songs.

I watch the news. I like to know what is happening in the world around me. I don't watch movies and the like. I watch the food network on occasion not that I like to cook, I just like to watch other people do it. LOL...and I watch the nature shows on National Geo. I am careful about what I watch but I do realize that some think it is sinful. I go with my heart on this.
Going shopping can cause some people to sin if they buy costly things they don't need or stare at the opposite sex with lust in their heart. Let the common sense God gave you be your guide.
