Hi Bridget, I'm from Canada so we don't celebrate the 4th of July weekend here. We do celebrate Canada Day on July 1st. My husband isn't a fan of crowds so we didn't go to see the fireworks either. I'm from Calgary and we have a big stampede here right now. It is a very big event and people come from all over to see it. Our neighborhood has a parade and a big pancake breakfast to celebrate the opening of stampede so we went and enjoyed that today. It was a lot of fun. Stampede time in Calgary is fun, there are pancake breakfasts given by different places throughout the city the entire week. If you wanted to you could eat for free every day and believe me some people do.
